Music lessons in Pointe-Claire

Which instruments can I learn at WIMA?

WIMA’s music teachers cover almost any instrument under the sun. Here is a complete list of music lessons in Pointe-Claire that we offer (lessons also available online).

We also offer specialized classes for different age groups and interests, so everyone can experience the joy of music in a way that speaks to their creativity.

Rock band classes

This program teaches students how to jam together and perform as a team! Students are grouped with other players at similar levels or with their existing bands. Our Junior Rock Band course is designed for musicians aged 6 to 9, while Rock Band PRO is for 10- to 18-year-olds with at least 2 years of experience.

Music for toddlers

Immerse your child in a rich, dynamic environment and introduce them to the wonderful world of music from a young age. Our Mommy and Me activities are designed for children from 9 to 18 months old, and our Little Musicians program caters to kids who are 18 months to 3 years old. We also offer a Pre-K level program for 3- to 4-year-olds.

Camp Rock

School’s out, and music’s in! WIMA’s Camp Rock program runs during March break and the summer holidays, giving kids the opportunity to live life like a budding rock star.

During the summer, campers will get to join a band, learn the ropes from pro musicians, record their tunes in a professional studio, create a video clip, and play a live recorded show with their bandmates. For our week-long March break session, students will have a blast jamming with their band, get to know different genres of music, and learn about leadership and teamwork.

How do online music lessons work?

These days, most people are spending more time at home than usual – so there’s never been a better time to pick up a new instrument or jump back into an old hobby.

Online music lessons take place in the comfort of home using video conferencing technology, so students need to have their own equipment on-hand. They will be sent a link to a secure meeting room before each lesson begins, then the session will unfold just like it would in-person. Virtual instruction is just as effective as a face-to-face, so you’ll be able to enjoy the same rich experience no matter where you are.
